Pattern Description:
This dishcloth design is a picture of a pair of cherries still attached to their stems. There is a single leaf at the top of the stem to the left.

The design is not symmetrical so adjustments may be needed by left knitters.

The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.

A Note about Needle Size, Gauge and Making the Design "Pop" Out:
Gauge is not as important since this is not an item to be worn. If you are sewing squares together to create an afghan, use the same needle size for each square.

Using a smaller needle will produce a smaller, tighter cloth, however it is not likely to be perfectly square. My experiments with needle sizes of 4 and 5 have produced slightly rectangular cloths.

If you are using a size 6 needle and the design is not "popping" out for you, decreasing needle size could be the answer. Also, make sure you are not pulling the yarn too tightly while creating the purl bumps of the design. If the yarn is tight, there is less of it to "pop".
