Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, but there’s still plenty of time to knit a gift from the heart. I have many Valentine’s Day dishcloth patterns that feature hearts or are perfect for showing your sweetheart your love. Knit dishcloths are the perfect gift for me to make. I’m so busy lately that I have trouble finishing any project I start. But a dishcloth is quick to start and finish…just a couple of hours and you have a lovely little design that is useful too. Wrap one or two of the cloths below with some scented soaps and you have a thoughtful gift ready to give.

Send your loved one a special knitted message! This first Valentine knit dishcloth pattern is a picture of a hand making the sign for “I Love You” in American Sign Language. Next, is my Love knit dishcloth pattern. The word Love is surrounded by hearts.
Four Square Love knit dishcloth pattern is a picture of the word LOVE arranged in a square. Two of the letters are in garter stitch and the other two are in relief within a square of garter stitch. Heart Balloon Trio is a whimsical design of three heart shaped balloons floating away with strings trailing.
Four Square Hearts complements the Four Square Love dishcloth very nicely. Four hearts are arranged in a square with two hearts are in garter stitch and two in relief within a square of garter stitch. I Heart U is a perfect design for letting your sweetheart know just how you feel!
Here in Connecticut we are in the midst of a blizzard. The kids and I have off from school and hubby is working from home. I cooked dinner overnight in the crock pot in case we lost power today, but we are all warm and snug now while the snow and the wind blows outside. What better time than to curl up on the couch and knit? Whether you have a blizzard howling around you or you are simply wishing for snow, I have snow dishcloths and winter dishcloth patterns that will put you right in the mood.
My first snow dishcloth pattern is a cute Snowman. He wears a top hat and has four buttons down his belly. I also have a lovely Snowflake pattern. It is a beautiful, symmetrical, six pointed snowflake.
To help keep you warm in the snow I have a couple of dishcloth patterns with some winter clothing. First is design for a Winter Hat with a ribbed brim and a pom-pom on top. And next is one of my favorites: Warm Wooly Mittens! This pattern is a slight challenge as the design is made using seed stitch throughout to give the fluffy appearance. It’s definitely worth the effort!
For my fans of winter sports, I have an Ice Skate knit dishcloth design. You’ll be ready for winter fun as you knit this dishcloth and dream of skating the day away. Of course, after a day of skating, you’ll need to warm up with a mug of hot chocolate. My Steaming Mug knit dishcloth pattern will have you warmed up in no time at all.
I don’t know about where you live, but here in New England spring is finally trying to make an appearance. The snow is almost all melted and Little League starts today. The grass may still be brown but we are starting to see some crocuses trying to poke through. It sure was a long, cold winter.
To put us all in the spring-y mood, I thought I’d mention some of the spring dishcloths available on my website.
In the Pattern Shop I have many spring, baseball, and Easter themed patterns available for purchase for $1.79 each. Here are a few of them:
I know I haven’t updated my posts in a while and I haven’t sent out a newsletter in months and months! But I promise to try to do better as we move into spring and summer. I have been knitting and testing some new patterns and just have to get them all put together and uploaded onto the website. I hope you’ll enjoy them. I have lots more animal patterns coming with a goal of having at least one animal for every letter of the alphabet. I’m getting very close!
