Perfect for any party celebration from birthday to New Year’s Eve! This knit dishcloth design is a picture of a single balloon. The balloon is perfectly shaped and has a string dangling below.
The design is nearly symmetrical, but adjustments may need to be made by lefty knitters if it matters about which way the string dangles.
The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.

Suggested Yarns:
To make dishcloths: 100% Cotton yarn (worsted weight), such as Sugar ‘n Cream, Peaches ‘n Cream, Bernat Handicrafter, or KnitPicks Dishie.
To make afghan squares: Any worsted weight yarn.
Note: A lighter weight yarn, such as a DK, may be used, but the dishcloth will come out smaller; about 8 inches square.
