Knit Dishcloth Patterns
One of two elephant designs in the pattern shop, this knit dishcloth picture is of an elephant facing forward. His ears are fanned outward, and his trunk swings out to the right. He is a nearly solid design with some spaces to suggest the ears, eyes, and trunk.
The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.
The design is not symmetrical so lefty knitters might need to make some adjustments depending on their knitting style and preferences for which side the trunk is on.
Knitting Information:
Finished Size:9 in. X 9 in.
Gauge:18 st. and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette
Needle Size:Size 7 US (4 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Yarn Requirements:Approximately 1.5 oz. of 100% cotton dishcloth yarn, worsted weight.
