Knit Dishcloth Patterns
Choo! Choo! Watch out for the train coming through! This knit dishcloth pattern has a picture of a steam train locomotive. It faces to the right and is easily recognized by its smokestack, wheels, and cab.
The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.
The design is not symmetrical so lefty knitters might need to make adjustments depending upon their knitting style and preferences for which way the train is facing.
Knitting Information:
Finished Size:9 in. X 9 in.
Gauge:18 st. and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette
Needle Size:Size 7 US (4 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Yarn Requirements:Approximately 1.5 oz. of 100% cotton dishcloth yarn, worsted weight.
