Make no bones about it, this x-ray fish is an odd one. This knit dishcloth pattern shows a picture of the outline of an x-ray fish facing to the right, showing his backbone and some rib bones. This pattern is perfect if you are knitting an A-Z Alphabet afghan and looking for a picture for “X”.
The design is not symmetrical from left to right (although he is symmetrical top to bottom) so adjustments may need to be made for lefty knitters if it matters which way he faces.
The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.
